Jean F. Watson's Obituary
Jean F. Watson, 70, of Homeworth, died on Thursday, July 10, 2003, at 5:17 a.m. at her home. She was born in Sistersville, West Virginia, on November 23, 1932, and had lived in the Alliance area for fifty years. Jean was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance and belonged to the mission group and the Funtastiks. She was a member of the Ladies Card Club, the Buckeye Dairy Boosters where she served as club historian, and the Farm Bureau. She is survived by five daughters, Denise Merrick of Homeworth, Molly Rodgers of Homeworth, Lou Anna Zehentbauer of Hanoverton, Sue Antram of Minerva, and Jo Anne Burger of Homeworth; one son, Roy W. Watson of Homeworth; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Suter of Homeworth and Margaret Minor of Wheeling, WV; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Bud Watson on March 7, 2003 (they were married on December 26, 1955); a son, Mark A. Watson on December 11, 1984; her parents, George and Ruth (Still) Beaver; and a sister, Sara Rachel. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2003, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance on Monday, July 14, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. F eicht as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
