Jean Ann Stanish's Obituary
Jean Ann Stanish, 90, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 1:10 p.m. at the Aultman Hospital. A lifelong resident of Alliance, Jean was born on January 22, 1915. She was employed for several years at the former Diana s Apparel Shop and then retired in 1980 from Alliance High School where she had worked with the cafeteria staff. Mrs. Stanish was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and their "55 Club". She also belonged to A.A.R.P. Jean is survived by a daughter, Carol J. Webster of North Benton; two sons, Albert J. (Linda) Stanish of Alliance and Ronald D. Stanish, of Chandler, AZ; five grandchildren, Todd Stanish, Scott Stanish, Wendy Van Camp, Robert Webster, and Rene Fullen; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Christine Nance of Lisbon; one brother, Ralph Wieand of Wheaton, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert G. Stanish in 1987, whom she married on December 16, 1935; her parents, Stephen and Johanna (Hartman) Albright; a sister Joan Haupt; and a brother Steve Albright. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Gross, Jr. officiating. Internment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
