Jean Mann-Hoffman's Obituary
Jean Mann-Hoffman, 64, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 1:25 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on August 13, 1948 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance most of her life. Jean was a graduate of Marlington High School and Kent State University. She was a member of Science Hill Community Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Consistory. Jean dedicated her life to her family, as well her professions, including teaching elementary school, working alongside David in the family business, and working as a real estate agent. In her past-time, she enjoyed antiquing, watching the Cleveland Indians, traveling, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her two daughters, Denise (Shawn) Rebuck of Louisville, Grace (Jared) Mederer of Grove City; a son, Eric (Nicole) Mann of Copley; 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Dillon, Melina, Bryce, Ethan, David, Aaron, Jackson, Olivia and Owen; a brother, Paul Honaker; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, David Mann on March 6, 2003, whom she married on August 11, 1973; her second husband, William Hoffman on January 28, 2008, whom she married on January 27, 2006, her parents, Kenneth and Florence (Markle) Honaker; and a sister, Maryann Bower. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at Science Hill Community Church on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jon Truax officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
