Jean "Jane" LeForte's Obituary
Jean "Jane" LeForte, 79, of Alliance, died on Monday, February 14, 2005, at 3:25 p.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. Born in Osceola Mills, PA, on June 15, 1925, Jane lived in Alliance since 1952. She was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church. Mrs. LeForte retired from the Alliance City Schools where she had been employed for 18 years as a bus driver and was known to her passengers as "Miss Jane." She is survived by two daughters, Lois J. (James) Hagge and Judi E. (Michael) McClowry, both of Alliance; six loving grandchildren, Gregory Hagge, Jody Stallsmith, Marc Hagge, Troy McClowry, Dawn Dennis, and Derek McClowry; ten "great"-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Golemboski of Osceola Mills, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, George D. LeForte in 1988, they were married on January 31, 1943; her parents, George and Anna (Miko) Golemboski; a sister, Irene Lawriski; and two brothers, Stanley and John. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
