Jean (Emplit) Husat's Obituary
Jean (Emplit) Husat, 56, of Alliance, died on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at 12:30 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Alliance on December 17, 1947, she had lived in Alliance all of her life. Jean was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had been a Lay Minister for several years. Among her many volunteer activities, she was also an Hourly Coordinator for Perpetual Adoration at St. Dominic s Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Husat (whom she married Oct. 8, 1966); her son, Todd A. Husat of Alliance; a brother, Ronald L. Emplit Sr., of Salem and several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her son, Troy R. Husat on August 21, 1992; her parents, Alfred Emplit and Delores "Butch" Kress Emplit-Schnase and a brother, Johnny Lynn Emplit. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
