Jean Bennett's Obituary
Jean (Boring) Lehman Bennett, 90, of Alliance, passed away following a long illness on Monday, January 2, 2023.
Born on March 11, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Francis J. and Clara Belle (Bowser) Boring, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1951 graduate of Alliance High School, Jean was employed at PCC Airfoils as an Industrial Xray Technician and retired in 1992 after 25+ years of service.
Jean enjoyed watching football, basketball, margaritas and TCM movies. She was an avid reader and loved to golf. Jean also enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach at Cape May and Sarasota Florida.
Survivors include her two daughters, Diana (David) Granger and Deborah (Bruce) Smith; two sons, Larry (Sweet Ian) Lehman and Gary (Sonia) Lehman; five grandchildren, Kyle (Kim) Granger, Jill (Joshua) Lovejoy, Tracy (Justin) McClellan, Ryann (Jason) Yoder and Brooke (Nathan) Ware; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lexi, Averey, Andrew, Ethan, Quinn, Noah, Londyn and Charlie; a brother, Francis "Bud" Boring; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Boring; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, Lee M. Lehman; her second husband, Donald E. E. Bennett; her parents; and three brothers, Richard, Robert, and William.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. G. David Weikart, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
