Jean (Hughes) Presley Agnew's Obituary
Jean (Hughes) Presley Agnew, 74, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at 1:45 a.m., at Aultman Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 1, 1935 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Agnew was a sales clerk for various stores at Carnation Mall. In her past-time, she enjoyed bingo and shopping. She also enjoyed going to Mountaineer and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. But most of all, she loved anything Elvis. Jean is survived by her husband, Harry H. Agnew, whom she married on August 31, 1970; six children, Franklin Presley, Jr. of Alliance, Victoria (Garry) Marx of N. Benton, Deborah Coe of Alliance, Thomas Presley of Alliance, Joann (Jeff) Fullerton of Sebring and James Presley of N. Benton; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Barbara Sue Peters of Homeworth and Mary Angelina Battaglia of Stow; two brothers, James Hughes of Homeworth and Jack Hughes of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, James S. and Rose V. (Favazzo) Hughes; and two brothers, William and George Hughes. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, February 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Weatherspoon officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
