Jay L. Dickinson Sr.'s Obituary
Jay L. Dickinson, Sr., 80, of Paris, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 8:30 am at Alliance Community Hospital.
Born on January 30, 1936 in Alliance, Ohio to Drexell and Gladys A. (Lee) Dickinson, he lived in Freeburg for most of his life.
A veteran of Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U.S. Army. Jay retired from Greensteel Inc., as a Sprayer.
He touched many hearts and his great sense of humor will be sadly missed. Jay enjoyed video-taping his grandchildren, nieces & nephews' many sporting events, graduations, weddings, milestones and many significant family events. He also enjoyed his Harley.
Survivors include his sweet pea of 43 years, Laverna Jane Radabaugh of Paris, OH; three sons, Michael L. Miller of Alliance, OH, Steven (Connie) Beltrami of Alliance, OH, and Jay L. (Beverly) Dickinson Jr. of North Canton, OH; seven grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Danny, Toni, Stevie Marie, Corey, Jessi; 6 great-grandchildren, special niece & nephew, Justin (Shannon) Radabaugh of Visalia, CA, and Sarah (Scott) Goins of Navarre, OH; and several other nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, Drexell Dickinson; mother, Gladys A. Dickinson-Jacobs; step-mother, Avanell Dickinson; and a step-sister, Joyce (Paul) Scott.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. Joyce Williams, of Feed My Sheep Ministries, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Freeburg Church Of The Brethren Cemetery.
