Janice Mae Novak's Obituary
Janice Mae Novak, 68, of 158 Timberlane, Northfield, died on Tuesday, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Miller. Born in Cleveland on September 28, 1933, she was raised in Northfield. She attended the University of Kentucky, graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse, retiring from Brecksville V.A. Hospital in 1997. An active member of the United Methodist Church of Macedonia, she was a Stephens Minister. She was an usher at the Playhouse Square for many years, volunteered for the Board of Elections in Northfield and was an avid traveler and camper. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Miller and their daughter Sarah of Alliance; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Kimberly Novak and their children: Nathan, Taylor and Jonathan of Sagamore Hills; son Daniel Novak and his family: Lisa St.Amant, Matt Crowe, and Dean Stansbury of Bedford; brother and sister-in-law Dean and Margaret Pactio of Hudson; several nieces and nephews; and her dear dog, Sadie. Preceding her in death were her son, Dean Christopher Novak; and her parents, Harold N. and Ethel M. (Goodchild) Pactio. Memorial services will be held at the United Methodist Church of Macedonia, 1280 East Aurora Rd. (Rt. 82), Macedonia on Monday, March 25, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. Family will receive friends one half hour prior to and one half hour after the service. Arrangements which include cremation, are being handled by Sharer-Stirling- Skivolocke Funeral Home in Alliance.
