Janet Menendez's Obituary
Janet Menendez, 72, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on February 28, 1951 in Alliance to George and Helen “Minnie” (Powers) Pollock, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1969 Graduate of Alliance High School, Janet was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Janet was employed at McCrea Manor & Rehabilitation Center as a nursing assistant for over 30 years.
Janet loved sewing and cooking, but especially loved spoiling her pets.
Survivors include her son, Bradley (Kacie) Menendez of Alliance; her granddaughter, Morgan; five sisters, Linda Russo, Brenda Pollock, Karen Dennison, Vickie Bryant and Patty Withrow; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Kathryn Menendez; her ex-husband, Leonard Lee Menendez; two brothers, Richard and George Pollock; and two sisters, Lori Banetti and Anita Beadnell.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. G. David Weikart, of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating. Cremation will take place and then burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
