Janet Ganslein's Obituary
Marion Janet (Quillman) Ganslein, 93, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on June 10, 1920 in Canton, Ohio, she lived in Alliance for most of her life. A graduate of Alliance High School she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also a member of V.F.W. Post 1036, Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion, Post 166, Ladies Auxiliary and the B.P.O. Elks, Lodge #467, Ladies Auxiliary. Janet is survived by her son, Richard (Marianne) Ganslein of Naperville, IL; two granddaughters, Heather (Richard) Beaufils, of Rockford, IL and Kim Ganslein of Stanford, IL; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Beaufils and Ronin Beaufils; a sister, Shirley Ann Gehret of Alliance, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Ganslein on May 8, 1994; a son, Earl W. Ganslein, Jr.; her parents, Harry and Gail (Viles) Quillman; three sisters, Barbara Ross, Doris Kiser and Helen Kerr; and three brothers, Harry Quillman, John Quillman and Richard Quillman. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, Pastor of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
