James David "Jim" Stevens' Obituary
James David "Jim" Stevens, 62, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at 10:20 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. Jim was born near Perrysville, Ohio on July 17, 1944, and lived in Alliance most of his life. He attended Perrysville Grade School and graduated from Scio High School. Mr. Stevens was formerly employed at Grove Appliance for 33 years. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He stayed active up to his sudden illness and death. He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Allyne "Ali" (Beehler) Stevens of Alliance; two daughters, Wendy Allyne Kerr of Bakersfield, CA and Teresa (Rick) Barnhart of Alliance; a son, James Erick Stevens of Bakersfield, CA; two grandchildren, Thomas Edward Steed III, who is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and Forrest Stevens Kerr of Bakersfield, CA; two sisters, Sandra Stevens of Bakersfield, CA and Diane Lairson of Taft, CA; two brothers, John Stevens of Mountain Center, CA and Jeffrey Stevens of Lake Worth, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Not to be forgotten is his devoted hunting dog, Boots. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances (Nicholson) Stevens. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Perrysville Cemetery in Perrysville, Ohio.
