James H. "Jim" Stephens 's Obituary
James H. "Jim" Stephens, 78, of North Benton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 19, 2018.
He was born on March 31, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Holland and Lillie (Yates) Stephens.
Jim was a six year veteran, of the U.S. Marine Corp, and retired from B & W Research (McDermott) where he was a Boiler Fireman, which according to his grandson “grandpa makes clouds”.
James enjoyed baseball, bowling, playing cards, golfing, auto racing, boating, and especially spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene S. (Fedor) Stephens; and his daughter, Lori Stephens.
Survivors include his four daughters, Tami (Denise Crison) Stephens, Julie (John) Jordan, Keri (Ray) Steede and Niki (Mark) Antonini; his son, Jason (Tiffany) Stephens; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Jan Wigal; two brothers, Dwayne and Truman Stephens; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Private family services will be held on Monday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
