James "Sugar Bear" Lacivita's Obituary
James "Sugar Bear" Lacivita, 55, of Alliance, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. He was born on November 13, 1952 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life. James was a graduate of Marlington High School. He retired from Republic Technologies in Canton, where he was employed as a crane operator. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with his grandchildren. James is survived by his wife, Barbara (Eckert) Lacivita whom he married on May 4, 1971; two daughters, Shelley (Chuck) Melaney of Alliance and Stacey (Justin) Taylor of Alliance; a granddaughter, Georgia Taylor; a grandson, Austin James Melaney; a brother, Larry Lacivita of Alliance; and two nieces, Nicki Thompson and Carrie Eckert and seven nephews, Larry Lacivita, Jr., Eric, Adam, Jay, Shawn, Ryan and Chad Eckert. Preceding him in death was an infant son; and his parents, Renaldo and Georgia (Elipolis) Lacivita. He will be loved always and greatly missed. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Louis Whitaker officiating.
