James "Ron" King's Obituary
James "Ron" King, 53, of Alliance, died on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 6:43 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on November 2, 1955 in Alliance, he lived here all his life and was a graduate of Marlington High School. Ron was formerly employed at Longaberger Basket Co. and has been at Roy s Car Wash for 24 years. In his past-time, he enjoyed watching spooky movies, the Weather Channel and "House". He especially loved playing with the grandkids. Ron was known to many as "Papa Ron." He is survived by his wife, Judith (Grimes) King, whom he married on March 5, 1983; two daughters, Diana Grimes (Mark) Conway of Alliance and LouWisa King of Alliance; a son, James "Bub" King of the home; four grandchildren, Taylor, Bass & Annie Conway and Antonio Bell; a sister, Paulette Bailey of Alliance; a brother, Brent (Debra) King of Atwater; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sammy Jo. Preceding him in death was his parents, James and Vonna (Stimpert) King; and an infant brother, Richard King. The family will receive friends at the Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Pam Bruno of First Christian Church, officiating.
