James "JD" Donohoe 's Obituary
James "JD" Donohoe, 87, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 5:26 p.m. at Davis Haven in Beloit.
Born on September 17, 1929 in Alliance, Ohio to Charles and Rose (Ruble) Donohoe, he lived in Alliance for all of his life and attended Alliance High School.
JD retired from Chrysler Corp. in Twinsburg as a hi-lo operator after 30 years of service.
He was member of First Baptist Church and Dr. Roach's Outdoor League.
A Life Member B.P.O. Elks, Lodge #467, he was also a member of V.F.W. Post 1036 and the American Legion, Post 166.
JD coached fast pitch and slow pitch softball for almost 40 years. He was General Manager and CEO for Polinori's All Star Touch Football Team in the 1970’s.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Peg Felton of Alliance and Mary Stout of Coldwater, MI; his companion and care giver, Yvonne M. Penrod of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Nora (Collins) Donohoe, whom he married on January 8, 1966 and died on January 10, 2010; step-son, Terry Aldrich, Sr.; his parents; four sisters, Edith Fisher, Eleanor George, Edna Ungaro and Margaret Donohoe; four brothers, Charles Donohoe, George Donohoe, Samuel E. Donohoe, Sr., and Billy Donohoe.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm, with Pastor Steve Rhodes, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
