James D. "Jim" Grimes' Obituary
James D. "Jim" Grimes, 46, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at his home. Born on December 16, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a graduate of Finneytown High School in Cincinnati. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Transportation Logistics from Ohio State University in Columbus. Jim had lived in Alliance since 1997 and was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #467 and of the Alliance YMCA. He was currently employed by Curt Manufacturing Co. of Eau Claire, WI, as Territory Sales Manager. Jim was an avid racquetball player and an avid fan of the OSU Buckeye s. He really loved to watch his girls in any sports participation events. Whether it was riding his bike or grilling meals for his family all year long, or family vacations at Seabrook Island, SC, he just enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughters. He leaves behind his wife, Jessica L. (Everson) Grimes, whom he married on November 17, 1989; two daughters, Alexandra Marie Grimes, a Sophomore at St. Thomas Aquinas and Marissa Christine Grimes, a Freshman at St. Thomas Aquinas; his parents, Donald and Sandra (Kraft) Grimes of Cincinnati, OH and of Sarasota, FL; and three sisters, Connie and her husband Chris Hendy of Cincinnati, Jeanne and her husband Frank Stanton and their daughter, Lia, of Cincinnati, OH, and Patti Grimes and her husband Joe Hoback of Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Mary Everson of North Canton, OH; and a sister-in law, Julie and her husband Tony Lalli and their two sons, Nick (Jackie) Lalli and Jake Lalli. Preceding him in death was his brother-in-law, Clay Everson. An Elks Service will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Saturday,February 12, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Patrick Manning, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
