James Dayton Green's Obituary
James Dayton Green, 72, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 8:15 p.m. at his home in Alliance.
Born on January 26, 1943 in Muskegon, Michigan to James W. and Ferel (Hichue) Green, he graduated from Ravenna Michigan High School and had just recently moved to Alliance.
Jim was a 32 year career veteran in the U.S. Navy, and had served our country during Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. (Kass) Green, whom he married on June 8, 1963; a daughter, Rhonda Green of Sherrodsville; two sons, James (Terilyn) Green of Ashburn, VA, and Sean (Amy Blackburn) Green of Sarver, PA; five grandsons, Carl Nayback, Brandon Nayback, Christopher Green, Sean Green, and Chay Cooper; four granddaughters, Alayne Nayback, Katy Green, Erin Green, and Rylee Green; a great-granddaughter, Leah Nayback; a brother, Charles (Rita) Green of Norton Shores, MI; a sister, Darlene Hern of Muskegon, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Metta Green.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating.
