James H. Fox's Obituary
James H. Fox, 84, of Beloit, passed away at his home on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
Born on November 20, 1930 in Alliance, to Charles and Elsie M. (Kauffman) Fox, he lived in Alliance most of his life.
He served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as an aircraft loadmaster in Columbus, Georgia and Anchorage, Alaska from 1951 – 1955.
After returning to Alliance from the service, James was a Pattern Maker for the Wolverine Pattern Making Company until his retirement.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was an avid member of The Dante Alighieri Club where his friends would always enjoy a game of pool.
James loved the outdoors and especially liked fishing and hunting. He owned his own plane and enjoyed taking family and friends for a ride.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherrie Bartlett of Alliance, Donna (Bill) Willard of Beloit,, Laura Bolog of Alliance,and Marian Leedy of Canton; his best friend and companion of 40 years, Jean Fox of Saginaw, MI; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, Allison "Ally" Fox; and two brothers, Charles "Bud" Fox and William Francis "Bill" Fox.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the Dante Alighieri Club. Entombment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan.
