James M. Bondoni's Obituary
James M. Bondoni, 77, of Alliance, died on Monday, August 25, 2008, at 10:45 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1931 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life. Mr. Bondoni was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U. S. Army. He received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Campaign Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. Jim retired from Alliance Machine Company, where he was employed as an assembler and had previously been employed with Morgan Engineering for 35 years as an inspector. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, the Dante Alighieri Society, the Christopher Columbus Society, the V. F. W. Post 6730 in Sebring, the Eagles of Alliance Chapter 2174 and the K of C Council 558. Survivors include three daughters, Julianne (Rex) Franks of Alliance, Justine (Mark) Frank of Alliance and Janette (Dan) Markle of Alliance; two sons, James A. (Deb) Bondoni, Sr. and Joseph L. Bondoni both of Alliance; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ritchie of Alliance and Emma Eagan of Maximo; a brother, Louis (Lil) Bondoni of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Janet B. (Fickes) Bondoni on November 20, 1984, whom he married on February 6, 1952; his second wife, Margaret (Douglas) Bondoni on February 28, 2007, whom he married on March 11, 1989; a step-daughter, Ramona L. Yeagley; his parents, Clement and Lodovica (Facini) Bondoni; three sisters, Tina Bondoni, Stella Girardini and Josephine Schmidt; and a brother, Leo Bondoni. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. There will be a K of C Rosary Service at 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Friday, August 29, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Sebring Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6730, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
