James Maxwell Blevins' Obituary
James Maxwell Blevins, 62, of Alliance, died on Sunday, March 20, 2005, at 9:46 p.m. at the Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Grahn, KY, on December 1, 1942, he lived in Alliance most of his life. Mr. Blevins and his wife had owned and operated the Golden Slipper from 1980-1982, and had also been a partner in the Alliance Drive-Thru. He was employed as a driller and Derek hand for Armstrong Drilling. He loved fishing. James is survived by three daughters, Susan M. Warner of Alliance, Tina M. Taschwer of Fishersville, VA, and Shellie Blevins of Copely, OH; four sons, James A. Blevins of Newton Falls, Gary S. Fix of Carnation City, WA, Daniel Fix of Alliance, and Ronald Specht of Alliance; 16 grandchildren; his mother, Marjorie (Mosier) Blevins of Alliance; two sisters, Darlene Ritchie and Cindy Booth, both of Alliance; two brothers, Ted Blevins of Missouri and Wally Blevins of North Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean (Shutler) Blevins on December 25, 2004 (they were married on December 5, 1970); and his father, Everett Blevins. Private funeral services will be held. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
