Jacqueline R. Edwards' Obituary
Jacqueline R. Edwards, 89, of Alliance, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 3:30 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Community in Minerva, Ohio.
Born on September 30, 1934 in Alliance to Russell Abblett and Verle Sudeck, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Jacqueline was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church for over sixty years. She was a 1952 graduate of Alliance High School.
Jacqueline was employed at the Ohio Department of Transportation as a Human Resources Manager.
She was a lifetime member of American Legion, Post 166, Ladies Auxiliary.
She donated 23 years of service to local veterans through the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. In addition, she served as a docent with the Castle Crusaders at Glamorgan castle. Both meant a great deal to her. She loved music and dance and travel.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn R. Edwards of Malvern; two sons, Brian K. (Paula) Edwards of Farmersville, TX and Chris A. (Diana) Edwards of Akron; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Jenen, Cory, Chelsea, Julia, and Sean; and four great-grandchildren.
Jacqueline will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her friends.
Preceded in death were her mother, Verle Sudeck; and her father, Russell Abblett.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 pm with Rev. Timothy Muse, of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Alliance or to St. Luke’s Lutheran Community of Minerva.
