Isabelle F. (Bryan) Flickinger's Obituary
Isabelle F. (Bryan) Flickinger, 96, of Alliance, died on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at 9:00 p.m. at her son's home in Hinckley, Ohio. Isabelle was born on January 18, 1910 in Tarboro, North Carolina and graduated from Newbern High School in Newbern, NC. She had lived in several states during most of her younger adult life and later had made Alliance her home. She was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ in Alliance and was a member of the Eastern Star for most of her life. Mrs. Flickinger was a painter in the pottery industry and had worked with Viktor Schreckengost, a very prominent industrial designer from Sebring. She is survived by a daughter, Amy Louise (Franklin "Greg") Schneller of Worthington, Ohio; a son, Albert (Edith) Flickinger of Hinckley, Ohio; three grandchildren, David Bradley (Jenny) Schneller of Gahanna, OH, Kimberly Flickinger of North Royalton, OH and Bryan Flickinger of Redford MI; two great-grandchildren, Grace and Christopher Schneller of Gahanna, OH; a brother, Frederick Bryan of Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Flickinger, (they were married on April 27, 1946); a daughter, Moonyeen Redd; her parents, Luther Edward and Isabelle (Cook) Bryan; two step-sisters, Amy (Farley) Stryker and Francis (Farley) Farr; two brothers, Luther "Edward" Bryan and Robert "Glen" Bryan; and several aunts & uncles. The family will receive friends at Highland Memorial Park Chapel on Friday, July 28, 2006, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Neal Mann, officiating. Interment will follow.
