Irene G. (Vargo) Yagusich's Obituary
Irene G. (Vargo) Yagusich, 87, of Alliance, died on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 10:55 p.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. She was born on August 8, 1923 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of her life. Mrs. Yagusich was a life member of VFW Post #1036, a social member of the American Legion Post #166 and life member of the Roma Society. In her past-time, she enjoyed cooking and baking and really loved to iron clothes. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Samuel Fodor of CA, Richard (Elva) Fodor of CA, Eugene (Donna) O Neil of CA, Patricia (Forrest) Barber of Alliance, Mary (Thomas) Hipkins of Bolivar, Bonnie (Robert) Reber of Alliance, Sheila Moore Williamson of Alliance, Thomas (Erma) Moore of MS, Barbara Scovil of Garden Grove, CA, John (Diana) Priselac of Alliance, George (Iwana Ruth) Priselac of Salem, Mary Binion of Havelock, NC, Edward (Sidney) Priselac of Merritt Island, FL, Margaret Beardsley of Camron Park, CA, Albert (Judy) Priselac of Danbury, TX and Eugene O Neil of California. Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Mary (Nagy) Vargo; her husband of 62 years, Joseph "Hap" Yagusich, whom she married on October 31, 1945; three sisters, Edith Fodor, Anna Moore and Julia O Neil; two brothers, Fritz and Mike Vargo; nieces and nephews, Steven Priselac, Ann Priselac, Joseph Priselac and Agnes Snyder; and a step-nephew, Daniel Ivan. A Graveside service will be held at the Alliance City Cemetery chapel on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Peters officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
