Irene L. Coco's Obituary
Devoted wife and mother, Irene L. Coco, 84, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at 5:05 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Oakmont, PA, on December 18, 1920, she had lived in Alliance all of her life. Irene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Alliance Elk s Auxiliary, the former Ladies of the Christopher Columbus Society, and the Wee Click Card Club. Irene enjoyed decorating, crocheting, sewing, cooking, gardening, ballroom dancing and her family. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Atty. Anthony J. Coco, whom she married on November 16, 1936; her daughter and son-in-law, Carmella and Ray Puhl of Alliance; her sister, Rose Marie Hogan of Las Vegas, NV; and her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Betty Macaione of Alliance. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Lena (DeMarco) Macaione; a sister, Anna Willis; and three brothers, Sam, Frank, and Vincent Macaione. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2005, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, November 4, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Pastor Pam Bruno of the First Christian Church will offer the readings. Internment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
