Ida C. Henderson's Obituary
Ida C. (Lelesch) Henderson, 90, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 11:45 p.m. at Community Care Center of Alliance. Born on March 13, 1918 in Pennsylvania, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. Ida was a graduate of Alliance High School and retired from United Co-Op, where she was employed as a secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Alliance and she enjoyed bowling, golfing and crocheting in her free time. She is survived by her sister, Elsie Kessopulos of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, Faye & Max Ware and Erla Tatsch, all of Alliance. Preceding her in death was her husband, Homer Henderson on November 26, 2007, whom she married on April 25, 1961; her parents, Charles F. and Lousia M. (Byers) Lelesch; five sisters, Lousia Anna Lelesch, Helen Belle Parker, Irene L. Panelly, Joan Darlene Lelesch and Judith Marlene Lelesch; and a brother, Charles A. Lelesch. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church on Monday, January 26, 2009 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Gordon Thomas officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
