Ida Gay Colvin's Obituary
Ida G. (Stone) Colvin, 87, of Atwater, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:55 pm at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.
Born on June 2, 1930 in Doddridge Co., West Virginia to John and Clella (James) Stone, she raised her family in the Baltimore, Maryland area and recently moved to Atwater to be close to family.
Ida retired from the Page Paper Box Factory as a Machine Operator.
In her spare time, Ida enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include her three daughters, Tammy Colvin of Atwater, Lisa Widerman of Glen Burnie, MD, and Carol (Earl) Hart of Williamstown, WV; her son, Lee (Marguerite) Colvin of Salisbury, MD; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Piekarski of Kansas.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Lee R. Colvin, Sr. on June 3, 2001 whom she married on December 30, 1958; her parents; two sisters, Loraine Bailey and Goldie Kole; and two brothers, Bob Stone and Bill Stone.
The family held a private visitation and service on Friday, December 22, 2017. Pastor Rich Hall, of the Atwater Congregational Church, officiated.
