Howard F. Tarbet's Obituary
Howard F. Tarbet, 68, of Alliance, died on Friday, March 26, 2010, at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on January 29, 1942 in Alliance, and lived here all of his life. A U. S. Army Veteran, he retired from the E.W. Bliss Co. in Salem, where he was employed as a Crane Operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with cars and collecting model trains. He is survived by a daughter, Katie Daniels of Alliance; a son, Howard (Jennifer) Tarbet, II of Peoria, IL; two grandchildren, Katelyn & Justin Daniels; two brothers, Roy Tarbet, II of Louisville, OH and Douglas (Barbara) Tarbet of Celebration, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy and Florence (Vosper) Tarbet. A Memorial Service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Joseph A. Peters, officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
