Howard E. "Griff" Griffith's Obituary
Howard E. "Griff" Griffith, 77, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1934 in Salineville, OH, and lived in Alliance most of his life. Howard attended Beechwood United Methodist Church and retired from Worthington Industries in Salem, where he was employed as a foreman. Mr. Griffith was a member of Salineville Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Irma Kendall of the home; daughter Gene a Griffith, grandson Griff Allen Bosley, both of Canton; daughter Vicky Robinette, son-in-law Bill of West Chester, OH, two grandsons, Nicholas (Liz) and Joseph; daughter, Helen White, and grandson Steven, both of Granite Falls, NC granddaughter Casey (James) Pace and great-grandchildren, Emily and Ethan all of Palm Bay, FL; three sisters; two half-brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Donna (Davidson) Griffith; his parents, Wilbur Kennedy and Mae (Bonnar) Griffith Kennedy. The family will receive friends at Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held on Friday at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
