Howard L. "Cutty" Bower's Obituary
Howard L. "Cutty" Bower, 90, of Alliance, died at his home on Thursday, August 29, 2002. Born in Limaville on March 28, 1912, he had been a resident of Alliance for all of his life. Mr. Bower retried from Lattavo Brothers Trucking Co. of Canton after driving for 47 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He is survived by daughters, Lucinda (Robert) Knight of Limaville, Sandra (John) Benner of Beloit, Barbara Carlson of Beloit, and Helen (Marilyn) Bower of Alliance; sons, Larry (Gertrude) Bower of Alliance, and John (Pia) Bower of Port Orange, FL; two step-daughters and one step-son; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Berenice (Keiter) Bower on March 12, 1996, (they were married on Aug. 7, 1946); and his parents, Oscar A. and M. Elsie (Clark) Bower. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, September 1, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and also on Tuesday, September 3, 2002, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
