Herbert Lee McNeal's Obituary
Herbert Lee McNeal, 65, of Sebring, died peacefully wrapped in the arms of his loved ones, on Thursday, November 23, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. He was born on November 19, 1941 in Salem and lived all of his life in this area. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from various industrial jobs in the Alliance area. Herb was an avid hunter & beagler raising three field champion hounds. He enjoyed tinkering around in his garage fixing toys for his grandson and finding "A Deal for McNeal" at garage sales and flea markets. He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann (Eddy) McNeal, whom he married on October 5, 1967; a daughter and son-in-law, Leann & Joseph Laure of Alliance; one grandson, Macagey Laure; three sisters, Wilma King of Sebring; Lola Kelly and Shirley Fletcher of Alliance; a brother, Lester McNeal of Sebring; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Herb was preceded in death by his parents, James Harvey McNeal and Gladys (Weigand) McNeal Helsel; a sister, Maxine Datz and two brothers, James F. McNeal and Floyd McNeal. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26, 2006, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, November 27, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Damascus Cemetery.
