Henry (Enrico) V. Dossi's Obituary
Henry (Enrico) V. Dossi, 86, of Alliance, died on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 7:15 a.m. at Bel-Air Senior Living Community. He was born on January 1, 1924 in Lee, MA, and lived in Alliance most of his life. A graduate of Alliance High School, Henry was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 87th Division under George Patton. Mr. Dossi was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the V.F.W. Post 1036, the American Legion, the, The Dante Alighieri Society, the Christopher and the Roma Society. He retired from Alliance Machine Company, where he was employed as an engineer. Henry is survived by his wife, Elsie C. (Bericchia) Dossi whom he married on January 5, 1946; a daughter, Jodi (Larry) Burkhart of Alliance; two grandchildren, Jesi and Dani Burkhart; a brother, Victor Dossi of Alliance; and 15 nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Guiseppi and Teresa (Galvani) Dossi; and two brothers, Guido and David Dossi. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
