Helen Paina 's Obituary
Helen (Kovach) Paina, 95, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:20 pm at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on February 18, 1921 in Buena Vista, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Mary (Matyiku) Kovach, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had been employed at Alliance Manufacturing Co. as an Inspector. Helen enjoyed cooking, baking & gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara (Ernest) Lindenmayer of Alliance, OH, Patricia (Don) Williams of Alliance, OH, and Jean (David) Ziegler of Aurora, OH; two granddaughters, Jill (Ryan Helwig) Ziegler, and Kristin (Aaron) Seil; three great-granddaughters, Anna Helwig, Evie Helwig, and Lydia Seil; two sisters, Pauline Choma of Alliance, OH, Ethel Garnes of Amherst, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Paina, on November 11, 2006; father, Joseph Kovach; mother, Mary Kovach; four sisters, Mary Charpan, Magdaline Ramsey, Irene Gach, and Verna Kovach; and three brothers, Joseph Kovach, Nick Kovach, and Paul Kovach.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 10:30 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
