Helen Furgiuele's Obituary
Helen M. Furgiuele, 93, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at her daughter s home, surrounded by her family. Born on June 8, 1920 in Malvern, OH, she lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Mrs. Furgiuele retired from the former Cope Furniture Company, where she was employed as a seamstress. In her past-time, she enjoyed crocheting, but especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Thomas) Israel of Alliance; 2 sons, Gary Furgiuele of Alliance and Dennis (Karen) Furgiuele of Alliance; 5 grandchildren, Terri, Sandra, Trisha, Kristina & Christopher; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Bendetta of Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Albert N. Furgiuele on November 21, 2002, whom she married on August 30, 1940; her parents, Charles and Sarah (Cappella) Bendetta; 3 sisters; and 6 brothers. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
