Helen Findling's Obituary
Helen Findling Helen Findling, 97, of Alliance, died on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 4:15 a.m. at Bel-Air Senior Living Community. She was born on June 4, 1913 in Deerfield, and lived in Alliance all of her life. Helen attended First Friends Church and had worked for Cope Furniture as a seamstress. In her pass time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Jim) Unger of Alliance; a son, Robert Findling of Sebring; thirteen grandchildren, David Findling, Suzanne Kirkpatrick, Stephanie Findling, Annette Williams, James Unger, Timothy Unger, Vicki Unger, John Wiggs, Karen Garcia, Janet Baddeley, Jeff Wiggs, Jill Wiggs and Thomas Findling; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, William E. Findling, Sr. on February 8, 1989, whom she married on October 30, 1937; two sons, Lewis C. Findling and William E. Findling Jr.; her parents, Lawrence and Jessie (Welch) Diver; two sisters, Ruth Ingle and Dorothy Gause; and four brothers, Pete, Edwin, Willard and Frank Diver. Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph A. Peters officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
