Helen E. Emplit 's Obituary
Helen E. (Carberry) Emplit, 96, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 7:45 pm at her home in Alliance, with her family by her side.
Born on January 21, 1921 in Alliance, Ohio to Norman and Miriam (Badger) Carberry, she lived in Alliance for all of her life.
A 1940 graduate of Alliance High School, she also attended the beauty college in Canton.
Helen was the owner of Helen Emplit's Beauty Shop and retired when she turned 90 after 76 years of service.
She enjoyed camping in her younger years and shopping, but she especially loved time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Jody Buchanan of Alliance, OH, Denny Stanciu of Alliance, OH, Dory Grimm of Alliance, OH; son, Ted Emplit of Alliance, OH; five grandchildren, Kelli Donohoe of Alliance, OH, Greg (Darla) Buchanan of Lake Park, FL, Tim (Theresa) Conti of Louisville, OH, Bill (Stacy) Emplit Jr. of Homeworth, OH, Ted Emplit, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; ten great-grandchildren, Pearl, Taylor, Cody, Chase, Kylen, Kailee, Carly, Caden, Cameron, Kloie.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Joseph Emplit; a son, Bill Emplit; father, Norman Carberry; mother, Miriam Carberry; sister, Ruthann Devers; three brothers, Norman "Junior" Carberry, Milton "Bud" Carberry, Howard "Pat" Carberry.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
