Helen M. (Rickey) Hall Anderson's Obituary
Helen M. (Rickey) Hall Anderson, 93, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at 12:00 a.m., at McCrea Manor. Born in Alliance on October 16, 1908, she was raised at the family home, living there for 92 1/2 years, where her mother was also born. She had worked as a waitress at the former Alliance Restaurant, and was a sales clerk at the former Beverly Shop for over 25 years. A member of the First Christian Church for over 85 years, she was also a member of their Dorcas Class, the Mount Union Women's Club, the Steel Workers Retirees, and had been a Cub Scout Leader and a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Keller of Deerfield; two sons, Walter Hall of North Canton, and Thomas Hall of Alliance; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death were her husband, Nathaniel Anderson on November 1, 1996, whom she married on January 6, 1980; her first husband, Horace Hall on December 3, 1972; her parents, John W. and Eva S. (Cook) Rickey; and two sisters, Lois Bradley and Vera Hoffman. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Alliance City Cemetery . Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
