Hazel S. Hess' Obituary
Hazel S. Hess, 86, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 10:45 a.m. at her residence. Born on November 14, 1920 in Little Washington, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a graduate of McKinley High School in Canton and had retired from Transue & Williams Forge Plant, where she had been a secretary for many years. Mrs. Hess was a member of the Alliance Senior Center and enjoyed quilting, bowling and golfing. She is survived by a son, Robert E. (Norma) Hess of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; a grandson, Jeff (Hattie) Hess of Painsville, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle Hess and Chloe Hess; sister-in-laws, Camilla (William) Moore of St. Cloud, FL, and Caryl Morledge of Winterhaven, FL; good friend and caregiver, Dottie Miller of Salem, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Hess; and her parents, Dan and Doris (Ross) Sabo. A Memorial Services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Peters, officiating. Interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park, following cremation. There will be no calling hours.
