Harry "Butch" Snyder's Obituary
Harry "Butch" Snyder, Jr., 67, of Alliance died on Thursday, May 28, 2009 in Youngstown Born on July 11, 1941 in Akron, Ohio, Mr. Snyder had lived in the Alliance area since 1972. He was employed as a plumber and pipefitter and was a member of the Local Pipefitters Union 219. Butch attended the First Assembly of God Church. His hobbies included collecting vintage Lionel trains and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl (Carper) Snyder, whom he married on February 10, 1963; a son, Tim (Ludivina) Snyder of Brownsville, TX; two daughters, Kristina (Joe) Fey of Alliance, Malissa (Robert) Dalton of Uniontown, Ohio; eight grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Carol) Snyder of Rittman, Ohio; three sisters, Sandra (Richard) Ullery of Wooster, Ohio, Drusilla Sexton of Roanoke, VA, Nancy Snyder of Roanoke, VA and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry Snyder, Sr. and Anna (Hottle) Snyder. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Ping of the First Assembly of God officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
