Harry H. Reed's Obituary
Harry H. Reed, 70, of Alliance, died on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 1:55 a.m. at Alliance Community Care Center, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 4, 1940 in Salem, and lived in Alliance most of his life. Harry attended Salem High School and was a graduate of Alliance High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era, stationed in Germany. Mr. Reed was the manager of Tri-Co. Tool in Cuyahoga Falls and had previously worked for Summa Health Care Nutritional Services. He was the former owner of Charlie B s Drive-Thru. Most recently he was employed as the station manager with Sarta in Alliance, Massillon and Canton. He was a member of the Alliance Senior Center, the American Legion Post 166 and the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #467. Harry loved to travel, especially taking cruises in the Caribbean and he also loved animals. Survivors include his partner in life for over 38 years, Carol (Anderson) Reed, whom he married in 1971; two sisters, Cora (Ray) Hollabaugh of Canton and Philomena Fagan of Salem; two brothers, Nicholas Limpose of El Paso, TX and Joseph Limposa of Struthers; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas and Caroline (Pateti) Reed; a sister, Catherine Mellott; and three brothers, Martin Limpose, Sr., John Limpose and Carl Limpose. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
