Harriett Rose Fulmer's Obituary
Harriett Rose Fulmer, 91, of Alliance, died on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at 2:20 p.m. at Community Care Center. Born in North Benton on March 10, 1914, she had lived in Atwater most of her life. An Atwater High School graduate, Harriett worked as a seamstress at the former M. O Neil Department Store and as a clerk at the former Markethouse in downtown Alliance. She retired from Hillcrest Market with over 30 years of service. Harriett is survived by her sister, Grace Davis of Alliance; two nieces; two nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Fulmer on October 3, 1953 (they were married on August 4, 1948); her parents, Chet and Clara (Hogle) Strong; four sisters, Mabel Strong, Alzo Strong, Elsie Session, and Myrtle Sweizer; a brother, Charles Strong; and a nephew, Gerald Davis. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Elder David Kline of the Covenant Bible Church officiating. Internment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
