Harold O. "Mike" Todd's Obituary
Harold Oliver "Mike" Todd, 92, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 1:20 a.m. at his home. He was born on March 4, 1922 in Alliance, Ohio to Carl and Wilma (Dudgeon) Todd and lived in Alliance all of his life. A graduate of Alliance High School, Mike was a veteran of WWII, he served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was decorated for wounds received during the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach, and was a member of the DAV Chapter 50. He previously worked at Alliance Machine Company as a machinist before opening Todd Brothers Service Station. After the station closed, he then worked at Henschen Motor Company as Service Manager. Mike liked to watch history shows on PBS and enjoyed dancing with his wife. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Wanda Mae (Heritage) Todd, whom he married on July 27, 1925 and died on November 9, 2014; his parents, Carl and Wilma (Dudgeon) Todd; two sisters, Margaret Carroll and Nedra Stanley; and a brother, Byron Todd. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Richard D. Lewandoski, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
