Harold Joseph "Butch" Maxwell's Obituary
Harold Joseph "Butch" Maxwell, 65, of Alliance went home on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 9:25 am at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on March 20, 1949 in Alliance, Ohio to Harry and Arletta (Greathouse) Maxwell and lived in Alliance for all of his life. A 1968 graduate of Alliance High School, he was a veteran of Vietnam, serving our country in the U.S. Air Force. Butch had been employed as a Material Handler for Majestic Steel Co., in Bedford Heights where he had worked for about 20 years. He was a huge sports fan of Michigan & Mt. Union. He attended First United Presbyterian Church. Butch is survived by his eight siblings, Bill (Eugenia) Tribett of Surfside, SC, Eileen Heuer of Alliance, OH, Tom (Sheilani) Maxwell of North Long Beach, CA, Patricia (William) Dias of Alliance, OH, Donald Maxwell of Alliance, OH, John J. Maxwell of Alliance, OH, Kay (Neil) Bray of Alliance, OH, Leroy (Wilma) Maxwell of Alliance, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Maxwell; mother, Arletta Maxwell; sister, Pauline Maxwell; and two brothers, Paul Keith Maxwell, and Robert Maxwell. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Alliance City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
