Harlan Ross Voshel's Obituary
Harlan Ross Voshel, 77, of Alliance, died on Sunday, December 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Harlan was born on May 13, 1929, in Lisbon, Ohio and lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a graduate of Malone College in Canton and had retired from Morgan Engineering Company where he was Plant Manager. He was a member of Lexington Ruritan Club. He is survived by his wife, Thelma L. (Bankard) Voshel whom he married on August 1, 1946; two sons, Ronn A. (JoAnn) Voshel of Alliance and Gary R. Voshel of Green Creek Springs, Florida; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; four sisters, Charlene P. Zigler of Alliance, Nola "Marie" Heestand of Clearwater, FL, Evelyn Farmer of Solon, OH and Janet Boring of Las Vegas, NV; and twenty-eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jeanie Voshel in 2000; his parents, Lawrence and Edna B. (Toot) Kelly; and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at Highland Memorial Park Chapel on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Slyh, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Canton, officiating. Interment, will follow. There will be no calling hours.
