Guy A. Ungaro's Obituary
Guy A. Ungaro, 93, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at 4:55 a.m. at Community Care Center of Alliance. He was born on July 1, 1913 in East Palestine, and lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during World War II in the African and European theaters of the Allied Forces in Patton s tank corps. Guy retired from the National Rubber Machinery Company, where he was employed as a supply man for over forty years. Mr. Ungaro was a charter member of the V.F.W. of East Palestine. He was an avid golfer and bowler and had constructed golf courses. He is survived by his wife, Edna I. (Donohoe) Ungaro whom he married on January 31, 1959; one son, Jack (Lorraine) May of Hawaii; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Carpenter and Adaline Ungaro both of East Palestine; and several nieces and nephews. Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Rose (Biscglia) Ungaro; three sisters, Ida Ungaro, Virginia Marra and Mary Fannara; and three brothers, Edward Ungaro, Frank Ungaro and William Ungaro. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph A. Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
