Gualtiero "Walter" Peloso's Obituary
Gualtiero "Walter" Anthony Peloso, 72, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:48 a.m. at Akron City Hospital. Born on July 28, 1940 in Cisterna, Italy, he lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Alliance High School and had attended Mt. Union College. Walter was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. He retired from Transue & Williams Co. where he was employed in their Die Room, where had been a Machinist for 38 years. Mr. Peloso had been a member of the Dante Society and the Christopher Columbus Society. In his past-time, he enjoyed traveling & fixing muscle cars, but especially loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Lisa" (Schubert) Peloso, whom he married on October 27, 1962; his children, Christina (Brent) Moore of Alliance, Tony (Gina) Peloso of Belmont, NC, Dina (Angelo) Frate of North Canton & Darren (Case) Peloso of Agoura Hills, CA, grandchildren, Aleina Moore, Giovanni, Nella & Antonio Frate, Ava Peloso & Sebastian Peloso; his siblings, Alma Masotti & Ermes Peloso, both of Italy; and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Preceding him in death was his parents, Peter and Rosa Peloso; a twin sister, Ornella and a sister, Iola. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
