Grace E. Davis' Obituary
Grace Evelyn Davis, 95, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 5:22 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on December 2, 1916 in Alliance, she lived in the Alliance and Atwater areas all of her life. She received her education from the Atwater Schools, and retired from Universal Co-Op, where she was employed for 18 years. Mrs. Davis was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary, and in her past-time, she enjoyed dancing and playing the lottery. She is survived by daughters, Nancy Aebi and Judy Carlile, both of Alliance; sons, Robert Davis of Cottageville, SC and Donald (Kay) Davis, of Atwater; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her son, Gerald William Davis; her parents, Chester and Clara (Hogle) Strong; daughter-in-law, Mary Anne Davis; five sisters; and one brother. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
