Goldie Jean Pitts' Obituary
Goldie Jean Pitts, 71, of Beloit, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at 3:40 p.m. at her home. Born on December 25, 1933, in the Glen Ale area of Jackson County, she graduated from Coalton School in 1951, and had lived in the Alliance and Beloit areas most of her life. Goldie enjoyed working with ceramics and gardening. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Howard) Bichsel of Alliance; two grandchildren, Tammy Bichsel and Howard Bichsel III, both of Florida; a brother Steven Corvin of Jackson; and 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Pitts (they were married on June 23, 1956); her parents, Joseph and Flora (Kegley) Corvin; two sisters, Mary Vititoe, and Margart Skeens; and four brothers, Samual, Millard, Robert, and Charles Corvin. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., with the Major Raymond Patrick, of the Salvation Army Church officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
