Glenn Allan Dickerhoff's Obituary
Glenn Allan Dickerhoff, 76, of Alliance, died on Friday, April 6, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on May 5, 1930 in Canton, and was a graduate of Timken High School. He had resided in Alliance since 1975. Glenn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo and retired in 1990 from Alliance City Schools, where he was Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Mabel (LaFollette) Dickerhoff, whom he married on September 18, 1948; a daughter, Sheila (Tim) Billheimer of Alliance; a son, Allan (Paula) Dickerhoff of Alliance; three grandchildren, Tenille (Billheimer) (Jim) Dutrow, Allan Dickerhoff and Tiffany Dickerhoff, all of Canton; and four great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Taylor, Sydney and Cyrus. Preceding him in death were his parents, Allan and Zelma (Effinger) Dickerhoff. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Ungashick, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.
