Gladys M. Shea's Obituary
Gladys M. Shea, 84, of BelAir Care Center, died on Monday, May 26, 2003, at 12:05 p.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. She was born in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 11, 1919. A graduate of Alliance High School, she had lived in Alliance most of her life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Elks Auxiliary, and the Ladies of the Moose. Mrs. Shea had been employed at the Alliance Manufacturing as an assembler. She had enjoyed her last three years at BelAir Care Center with all her friends and nurses. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Tim J. Shea; a sister, Virginia Oprandi of Alliance; three nephews, Gerald Oprandi of Alliance, Tom Oprandi of Georgia, and Tim Oprandi of Newark, OH; two nieces, Judy O'Neil of Columbus and Pat Lower of Alliance; and several great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ernest D. and Ella (Thornton) Bailey; a brother, Buddy Bailey; and three nephews, James, Rick, and Roger Oprandi. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2003, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
